Condition Grades
The aim of the condition grade is that every vehicle offered for sale will be 'condition graded' accurately, truthfully and objectively. For buyers, this means optimum confidence in buying vehicles from auction
Vehicle Condition Grading
The vehicle grade is automatically generated based on defects identified by the appraisers in order to generate an objective grade.
Defects of a mechanical nature are not included within the appraisal, however worn or damaged tyres will be recorded and imaged as part of the appraisal but will not be included in the calculation of the condition grading.
Cars are graded from 1-5 together with an unclassified grading. Grade one is reserved for those cars in the best condition, with grade 5 cars being in the worst condition. We recommend only buying cars graded 1 & 2.
Eplanation of the different condition grades is given below.
Grade 1:
The vehicle may have minor interior and exterior defects that require SMART repair, i.e. minor scratches or dents and minor replacement parts could also be required. These will be recorded on the appraisal.
Grade 2:
In addition to Grade 1 repairs the vehicle may require up to 3 bodyshop repairs to individual panels or bumpers. The replacement of more significant internal or external trim parts (excluding panels) could also be required. These will be recorded on the appraisal.
Grade 3:
In addition to Grade 1 & 2 repairs the vehicle may require up to 7 bodyshop repairs to panels or bumpers. These will be recorded on the appraisal.
Grade 4:
In addition to Grade 1, 2 & 3 repairs the vehicle may require additional bodyshop repairs or a replacement panel. These will be recorded on the appraisal.
Grade 5:
In addition to Grade 1, 2, 3, & 4 repairs the vehicle may have sustained collision damage and replacement of structural panels may be required. These will be recorded on the appraisal.
Unclassiified.

- Multiple Unrecorded Items
